Secure Folder: Incogni Vault on iPhone showing private photo folders — Party, Getaway, Workout, Selfies — hidden inside the vault

Private by design, not by promise.

Most photo vaults quietly sync your files to someone else's server. Secure Folder doesn't have a server to sync to. Your photos live on your iPhone, locked by your PIN, and nowhere else.

Questions, answered.

What is Secure Folder: Incogni Vault?

Secure Folder: Incogni Vault is a private photo vault app for iPhone that stores photos, videos, documents, and notes exclusively on your device — no cloud, no server, no account required. You lock your vault with a PIN or Face ID, and the app adds three layers of protection on top: stealth mode disguises the app icon as a calculator, calendar, or weather app; a decoy vault opens with harmless content when you enter a second, fake PIN under pressure; and intruder alerts silently photograph and timestamp anyone who enters the wrong PIN. The app is free to download on the App Store for iPhones running iOS 16.6 or later, with an optional Incogni Pro upgrade for unlimited imports, intruder alerts, and widgets.

Does Secure Folder upload my photos to the cloud?

No — never. Photos, videos, and files you put in the vault are stored only on your iPhone, inside the app's protected storage. There is no storage server and no account system, so your content cannot be uploaded, leaked from a server, or recovered by anyone else. The only data that leaves your phone is anonymous usage counts (for example, that a feature was opened), which contain nothing from inside your vault.

What is the decoy vault?

The decoy vault is a second, separate vault that opens with a different PIN. If someone pressures you to unlock the app, you enter the decoy PIN and they see a working vault with harmless content — while your real vault stays completely invisible. Nothing on screen reveals that a second vault exists.

What happens if someone tries to guess my PIN?

With intruder alerts enabled, every wrong PIN attempt silently captures a photo with the front camera and logs the exact date and time — no flash, no sound, no warning. The next time you unlock your vault, the intruder log shows you who tried and when. Intruder photos stay on your device only.

Is Secure Folder free?

Yes — the vault, PIN and Face ID lock, decoy vault, and stealth icons are free, with a limited number of imports to try it properly. Incogni Pro, available as a subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase, unlocks unlimited imports, intruder alerts, and widgets.

Is Secure Folder: Incogni Vault the same as Surfshark's Incogni?

No. Secure Folder: Incogni Vault is an independent photo vault app for iPhone and has no affiliation with Surfshark's "Incogni" data-broker removal service. Same word in the name, entirely different product and company.

Is Secure Folder: Incogni Vault related to Samsung Secure Folder?

No. Secure Folder: Incogni Vault is an independent iPhone app. It is not affiliated with Samsung Secure Folder or Samsung Electronics.
